Julian Hamilton

Julian Hamilton is the CEO of H&A Scientific Inc, a provider of pharmaceutical stability software and compliant software development. Prior to his appointment to CEO in 2019, Julian’s various roles at H&A Scientific enabled him to work closely with every department at H&A Scientific, both as someone reporting to leadership and as a member of the leadership team. Before his career at H&A Scientific, Julian’s professional experience was predominantly gained from various roles in pharmaceutical industry. He holds a degree from East Carolina University in Biochemistry.

Julian grew up in Washington, North Carolina. Julian’s professional career has been in Greenville, North Carolina, the founding place of H&A Scientific. As a permanent resident, Julian and his daughter calls Greenville their home.

Amy Hudson

Amy Lee Hudson is the General Manager/Chief Financial Officer for H&A Scientific, Inc. She has over 20 years of experience at H&A Scientific, Inc. She assists the CEO on company operations including overseeing daily business activities, budgets, improving overall business functions, training heads of departments, assisting with internal/external audits, creating policies, and communicating business goals. She manages human resources and the electronic document and training system.

She manages all financial actions of the company as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, maintenance plans, retirement plans, and tax preparation. She also prepares and presents financial reports to the stockholders and board of directors for annual meetings. She has experience as VP/ CFO in other organizations and serves on numerous boards, holding the offices of Treasurer and Secretary.

She has Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from East Carolina University with a concentration in Finance with primary focuses in Managerial Finance and Financial Services.

Mark Cheshire

Graduate of NC State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a certified lean six sigma black belt. He has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry at Metrics/Mayne Pharma where he served in different roles throughout his tenure including that of senior analytical chemist, stability manager, chemical hygiene officer and learning and development manager. While working at Mayne Pharma, Mark focused on building special partnerships with ECU and Pitt Community College to strengthen the training programs between the institutions to better prepare new graduates for careers in the pharmaceutical industry. Mark also trained all new analytical chemists being onboarded with Mayne Pharma in regards to the core principles of data integrity and what it means in the pharmaceutical industry as well as the impact it plays on the safety and efficacy of the medicines administered by the patients served by the industry.

John Palmer

John Palmer is a software engineer at H&A Scientific, Inc. He has a Bachelor of Computer Science from East Carolina University. He brings his experience as a software developer for over 25 years in many different industries. He works with the teams at H&A Scientific and customers to identify and develop software solutions and has been with the company since 2007

Adam Collins

Adam is the Business Analyst Manager for H&A Scientific. His primary responsibilities include writing software requirements, installation of H&A Scientific’s software, and customer technical support. He previously worked in the software validation department at H&A Scientific and has been with the company since 2008. He has experience with the execution of Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification documentation.

Adam earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. He served as an industrial engineer in the automotive manufacturing industry prior to joining H&A Scientific, where he worked on projects implementing new manufacturing systems.

Kyle Williamson

Kyle is a Software Engineer at H&A Scientific, where he plays a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications across several fields, including automation, Raman spectroscopy, pharmaceutical drug stability, and shelf-life projection.

Kyle earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from East Carolina University. He began his career with an internship at H&A Scientific and later transitioned to a Systems Engineer role in the agricultural industry. At Alliance One International and Pyxus International, Kyle was responsible for developing business-critical software changes, creating and maintaining requirements and design documentation, and providing software validation for a globally used factory management system. Leveraging his technical skills, Kyle worked alongside industry pioneers to craft software and hardware solutions that addressed pressing challenges in the tobacco and hemp-derived products sectors.

Driven by his passion for quality software development and automation, Kyle returned to H&A Scientific in 2019. He takes pride in developing efficient solutions that streamline processes and enhance productivity.

Kimberly Reed

Kimberly Reed is the Quality Manager at H&A Scientific, Inc. She engages in the planning, executing, and monitoring of Quality within the organization.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed additional course work at East Carolina University in Biochemistry. She worked at Metrics, Inc., purchased by Mayne Pharma Inc., for over 20 years with various roles within the company. She started her career as an analytical chemist and then focused on quality having responsibilities which included managing analytical and manufacturing quality groups, quality systems and computer system validation. She also has extensive experience working with customers through hosting customer audits and negotiating quality agreements.

She assisted in developing the quality system at H&A Scientific and has continued in a vital role focusing on quality improvements within the organization for over 20 years. She maintains the quality system and ensures quality software is developed and supported throughout the software life cycle. She promotes customer satisfaction through hosting customer audits and requests for information.

Michael Holland

Michael Holland is the Software Validation Engineering Manager and manages the team responsible for tasks in the testing phases of software development and release. Michael brings over 17 years of GMP experience in the pharmaceutical industry with him to this role.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2002. From there he started his career in analytical chemistry at Quality Chemical Laboratories (QCL), a contract testing organization in Wilmington, North Carolina. While working at QCL, Michael specialized in compendial chemical analyses (USP, EP, JP) of Raw Materials with an emphasis on testing by Gas Chromatography. With that skillset in hand Michael moved on to Greenville, North Carolina in 2006 where he began work in the Raw Materials group at Metrics, Inc. At Metrics (which later became Mayne Pharma Inc.) Michael held positions of Analytical Chemist, Senior Analytical Chemist, Lab Supervisor, Group Leader, and Principal Scientist. Michael’s supervisory experience dates to 2011. During Michael’s time as Group Leader at Mayne Pharma he oversaw a team of more than 15 employees. The team was responsible for sampling and excipient/API/packaging component analyses which provided support for pharmaceutical development and commercial activities. Additionally, the team supported contract only testing for external clients.
